It is designed to promote small business utilization when purchasing technology solutions for the federal government.
The 8(a) STARS GWAC provides solutions for a wide variety of information technology solutions, including: Cyber security, Information Assurance, Virtualization, Sustainability, Health IT, Cloud Computing, IPV6, VoIP, NexGen Technologies, and Web 2.0.
SPAWAR Atlantic provides sustainment support services to meet the operational requirements and readiness of integrated electronic security systems used by the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Navy (DoN), Federal and State agencies; to include, Homeland Defense/Security. Efforts consist of logistics and life cycle engineering and technical expertise in the full range of sensor system disciplines, i.e. Requirements planning and Management, Vulnerability Assessments, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Physical Security Awareness, Training and Education, Sensor System Engineering, Logistic and Life Cycle Support, and Cross Domain Solutions for local and wide-area systems.
This contract creates a teaming arrangement between industry and the United States Government to improve availability and supportability of the integrated electronic systems with the overall goal of reducing Total Ownership Cost (TOC). The primary methods for accomplishment will be continuous logistics processing with reliability and maintainability improvements. This PWS establishes the contractor requirements applicable to Program Management, Supply Chain Management, and Integrated Logistics Support for all integrated electronic systems maintained by Space and Naval Warfare Center Atlantic.
